Push Notifications for Web
This technology is everywhere. You may have noticed the prompt that slides down from the top of any web page on this website. That is a Web Push Notification.
Web Push Notifications work on desktops, laptops, and Android smartphones. They are connected to your browser. Supported browsers are Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. (Safari on Windows does not support web push notifications.)
If a visitor to your website “allows” or otherwise accepts push notifications from you, they will then receive little notifications from you on their computer, even when they are not on your website.
Anytime you publish a new blog post, your subscriber will receive a notice. You can also send custom messages. These may link to pages on your website or older posts. They can include images and links. They can be used for event reminders, promotions, deadlines, sales, announcements, live updates, and more.
Web Push doesn’t require users to hand over any personal information like an email address or phone number, so you may be reaching new customers that appreciate getting to know your business or brand anonymously before becoming a customer or client. It also might just be a convenient way some people prefer to receive communications from you. You can’t expect your people to go to your website out of the blue to see what’s new. Web Push Notifications are 100% opt-in and a useful communication tool if used wisely.
This technology is powerful and complex. However, we have created a simplified Push Notification service that is perfect for small businesses. It is promotional, not transactional, and very easy to use.
Setup & Train
We will set up a Web Push Notification marketing system on your WordPress website and show you how to use it. iOS Push is not supported in this service – FYI.
